#Juststart Challenge

I am going to take a challenge which I have been thinking to take from past 7 months. I am constantly gaining weight during the quarantine and I have been planning to jog but I find myself a way lazy to do it. Jogging is such a great habit. And it has amazing effects on a person’s health as well. Often, I find myself thinking that if I’m not going to begin jogging now, then when would I start? When I was reading about the just start challenge which is part of our project at Amal. I think now it is the time to start jogging. And I am pretty good at jogging because I used to jog before.

When planning on how to start with it, I came with the fact that I am not a morning person so I had to fix another time for jogging. So I decided to jog in evening .Fortunately I have a big lawn in my house where I can jog whenever I want. The next task was to dissect this big goal into small daily goals. I planned that in the first week, I will go for jogging for only 4 days of the week ( Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday). And that, I will jog for an hour because 1 hour is not difficult for me as I used to jog like one and a half hour before.

I told everyone in my home that I am going to jog. They started making fun of me that I can not do that. That increases my motivation. On Sunday night I was very excited for my challenge to start. At 4 PM I wore a tracksuit accompanied by cool and comfortable joggers and headphones playing my favorite soundtrack. I adjusted the timer by 1 hour and started jogging. After 30 mins I was sweating like hell. I thought I should stop now because I was doing it after so long and I already adjusted 1 hour timer. So I stopped with the commitment to myself that I will jog for 1 hour from tomorrow.

DAY 1

I jogged for 2.5 km rather than 10 which was my goal. On the next day I was highly motivated and was very ready to jog for 1 hour.

DAY 2

My God I was so happy that I achieved my goal. I felt so happy that I did it. I can not explain my feeling when the timer of 1 hour stopped. It was one of the greatest feelings I also used to jog for more than 1 hour before but on that day I was feeling something special because I set a goal and accomplished it.

Day 3

On the last day of my first week, I achieved some extra mile. I was not that tired after 1 hour so I decided to do some over time. I jogged for 1 hour and 20 minutes. I really loved this experience.
